The New Orleans Pelicans travel to the Ball Arena to take on the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night.

The New Orleans Pelicans have been on a nice run lately as they’ve now won four in a row, and they will be aiming to stay hot after blowing past the Jazz in a dominant 124-90 win on Friday. Brandon Ingram led the team with 29 points, eight rebounds and six assists, CJ McCollum added 24 points while Willy Hernangomez chipped in with 13 points and eight rebounds off the bench. As a team, the Pelicans shot 51 percent from the field and 11 of 36 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 35 points in the first quarter to take a 27-point lead into halftime and they just never let up as the bench ran riot in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their past eight games and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Rockets in a 116-101 win on Friday. DeMarcus Cousins led the team with 31 points, nine rebounds and four assists on 10 of 14 shooting, Jeff Green and JaMychal Green each scored 14 points while Aaron Gordon chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Nuggets shot 45 percent from the field and 13 of 33 from the 3-point line as they held the Rockets to 20 points in the second quarter to take the lead into halftime, before taking full control in the third quarter where they poured in 36 points to lead by as many as 20 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pelicans are 8-0 ATS in their last eight road games, 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games following a win and 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall. The Nuggets are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games, 4-9 ATS in their last 13 Sunday games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 7-1 in the last eight meetings overall, the Pelicans are 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings overall and the Pelicans are 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings in Denver.

The Pelicans have come to life with four straight wins and they were really impressive in their dominant 34-point win over the red-hot Jazz on Friday, so they will be coming into this one with plenty of confidence. The Nuggets have quietly been one of the hottest teams in the league and the good news is that Nikola Jokic is set to return to the starting lineup after dealing with an illness. You can make an argument for either side here, but the Pelicans are 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings in Denver and I think they can pull off the upset in this spot.
