Detroit Pistons vs Charlotte Hornets Injury Report
The Detroit Pistons will be without Simone Fontecchio, Jaden Ivey, and Bobi Klintman. Ivey recently broke his leg and could possibly miss the remainder of the season.
The Hornets have Brandon Miller, Cody Martin, Daquan Jeffries, and LaMelo Ball as questionable. Not ideal seeing the top two players on the injury list. Obviously, Miller and Ball are the two names to watch closely.
Why the Detroit Pistons will win
- The Hornets have lost each of their last eight games.
- The home team has won each of the last four games between the Hornets and Pistons.
- The Pistons have covered the spread in nine of their last 10 games when playing with a rest disadvantage.
- The Hornets have failed to cover the spread in five of their last six games against Eastern Conference opponents that held a losing record.
Total Points Facts

- Seven of the last eight games between the Hornets and Pistons have gone UNDER the total points line.
Detroit Pistons vs Charlotte Hornets Prediction
I’m into running to the window to lay decent-sized chalk with the Detroit Pistons, but I have no other choice. The Hornets are 1-9 SU and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games, and they have their best players in Ball and Miller on the injury report. If neither player is able to go, the Pistons should win this game comfortably. The Pistons have quietly won 6 of their last 9 games and if they’re serious about staying in the playoff conversation, they need to take advantage of spots like this. The Pistons are currently in the ninth seed, which is a step in the right direction for this franchise.
Of course, watch the injury report before betting. The Hornets are in a tough spot if Ball and Miller aren’t able to play. At the time of this writing, I’ll lay the chalk with the Pistons at home.
