Los Angeles Clippers Betting Preview
The Los Angeles Clippers have been doing it tough so far this season as they are now riding a four-game losing streak after getting thrashed by the Timberwolves in a 127-101 road defeat on Friday. Darius Garland led the team with 24 points and five assists, Brook Lopez added 13 points off the bench while Rui Hachimura and Keaton Wagler each scored 12 points. As a team, the Clippers shot just 41 percent from the field and 12 of 30 from the 3-point line as they fell behind by double digits right away and had to work hard just to stay within striking distance in the first half, but things only got worse in the second half as there was just no let up from the Timberwolves.
Golden State Warriors Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors started their season with three losses in a row, but they are suddenly one of the hottest teams in the league after smashing the Lakers by 112-95 on Friday for their first straight victory. Stephen Curry led the team with 31 points and six assists, Brandin Podziemski added 21 points with six assists while De’Anthony Melton provided the spark off the bench with 16 points. As a team, the Warriors shot 43 percent from the field and a sizzling 22 of 46 from the 3-point line as they got off to a nightmare start and scored just 15 points in the first quarter to fall behind by 25 points in the blink of an eye, but the Warriors forced turnover after turnover to fuel a ferocious run of their own and they didn’t take their foot off the gas until the final buzzer.
Los Angeles v Golden State Free Prediction
The Clippers have ruled out Brandon Ingram, Bradley Beal, Max Strus and Jordan Miller, while the Warriors are still missing Jimmy Butler III, Moses Moody, Draymond Green and they are deciding to rest Stephen Curry. The Warriors still open as slight favorites at home despite their long list of injuries which goes to show how bad the Clippers have looked so far this season. This is another game where you should check the lineups before tipoff, but with this game being played at the Chase Center, I prefer the Warriors’ second unit to get the win over this slumping Clippers squad.
