The Golden State Warriors play host to the Miami Heat at the Chase Center on Thursday night.

Miami Heat Betting Preview

The Miami Heat looked like they might be turning the corner as they have now won three of their past four games after sneaking past the Clippers in a 117-116 overtime road win last night. Bam Adebayo led the team with 35 points, 10 rebounds and four assists on 14 of 20 shooting, Klay Thompson drained eight 3-pointers to finish with 30 points on 11 of 22 shooting while Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 27 points with 14 rebounds, six assists and three blocks. As a team, the Heat shot just 43 percent from the field and 10 of 40 from the 3-point line as they clawed their way back from an early 20-point deficit to force the game into overtime, where Thompson saved the day with the game winner with just 1.0 seconds left on the clock.

Golden State Warriors Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors didn’t look great after starting their season with three straight defeats, but they are suddenly one of the hottest teams in the league as they are now gunning for a sixth straight victory after sneaking past the Suns in a 116-113 home win on Monday. Stephen Curry led the team with 34 points, six rebounds and seven assists, Brandin Podziemski added 20 points while Charles Bassey chipped in with 19 points on seven of 10 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Warriors shot 43 percent from the field and 13 of 42 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and scored just 19 points in the first quarter to fall behind by 17 points, but that only seemed to wake them up as the Warriors who rallied all the way back to escape with the gritty win in front of their home fans. De’Anthony Melton had a night to forget as he shot just one of nine from the field for his two points in 28 minutes off the bench.

Miami v Golden State Free Prediction

The Heat don’t have any players listed on the injury report, while the Warriors have ruled out Jimmy Butler III, Moses Moody and Gui Santos.
The Heat deserve plenty of credit for their recent success and it’s been Thompson who has really been the catalyst with his 3-point shooting as we saw last night, but it’s going to be tough to replicate that effort on zero days’ rest following an overtime game. The Warriors have hit their stride after a slow start to the season and they’ve looked great in the first three games of this homestand, so I will stick with the more reliable Warriors to get the win and cover at home in this spot.
