The Miami Heat and the Golden State Warriors collide at the Chase Center on Thursday night. Here’s a Heat vs Warriors Prediction.

Miami Heat

The Miami Heat have been in pretty good form as they’ve won six of their last eight games overall and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after outlasting the shorthanded 76ers in a 119-113 win on Monday. Jaime Jacquez Jr led the team with 31 points and 10 rebounds on 11 of 15 shooting, Bam Adebayo added 26 points with 15 rebounds and five assists while Tyler Herro tallied 22 points with six rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Heat shot 47 percent from the field and 12 of 32 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in a bit of trouble when they surrendered a 21-point lead. However, they didn’t panic but instead poured in 33 points in the fourth quarter to earn the gritty win at home. The Heat will meet the Jazz after this game.

Miami Heat Team Facts

  • The Heat have won eight of their last nine games against Pacific Division opponents.
  • The Heat have failed to cover the spread in each of their last five games as underdogs against Western Conference opponents following a win.
  • Each of the Heat’s last seven games as underdogs following a home win have gone OVER the total points line.

Golden State Warriors

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been in much better form recently as they were riding a five-game win streak before getting stopped in their tracks by the Nuggets in a 120-114 road defeat on Christmas Day. Andrew Wiggins led the team in scoring with 22 points on seven of 11 shooting off the bench, Stephen Curry added 18 points while Dario Saric chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Warriors shot 46 percent from the field and 14 of 40 from the 3-point line which was good enough to take the lead in the fourth quarter, before the Nuggets went on a pivotal 26-13 run to slip away in the end. Klay Thompson had a rough game as he finished with just nine points on three of 12 shooting while Curry shot just seven of 21 from the field.

Golden State Warriors Team Facts

  • The Warriors have won each of their last eight games at Chase Center.
  • The home team has covered the spread in seven of the Warriors’ last eight games.
  • Each of the Warriors’ last five games as favorites against the Heat have gone OVER the total points line.

Heat vs Warriors Prediction

The Heat could be missing a bunch of players again as Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson, Josh Richardson and Caleb Martin are all listed as questionable, while the Warriors are still missing Gary Payton. The Heat have shown all season that they can continue to win games despite a growing injury list, but they could be severely depleted in this one. The Warriors are starting to rediscover their form as they had reeled off five wins in a row before losing a close one to the red-hot Nuggets on Christmas Day. This should be a close one and I’m expecting plenty of fight from the Heat, but I think the Warriors bounce back with a narrow win and cover at home.
