The Washington Wizards invade the Chase Center to battle the Golden State Warriors on Friday night. Here’s a Wizards vs Warriors prediction.

Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost eight of their last 10 games, but they will be feeling much better after outlasting the Trail Blazers in a 118-117 road win last night. Kyle Kuzma led the team with 32 points, eight rebounds and six assists, Tyus Jones added 24 points on nine of 15 shooting while Daniel Gafford chipped in with 16 points, eight rebounds and six blocks. As a team, the Wizards shot 50 percent from the field and 12 of 30 from the 3-point line as they poured in 67 points in the first half to take an 18-point lead, before they survived a fourth quarter rally from the Trail Blazers to escape with the narrow win despite a turnover on the Wizards’ final possession. The Wizards will return home from this four-game road trip and will play four games against Orlando, Toronto, Brooklyn, and Atlanta.

Golden State Warriors

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors are starting to get going now as they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after taking down the Celtics in a 132-126 overtime win on Tuesday. Stephen Curry led the team with 33 points and six assists, Klay Thompson added 24 points while Jonathan Kuminga chipped in with 17 points on eight of 13 shooting. As a team, the Warriors shot 45 percent from the field and 20 of 50 from the 3-point line as they struggled for most of the game and fell behind by 17 points, before they rallied with 35 points in the fourth quarter to force overtime, where they kept the Celtics to just five points to earn the statement win at home. The Warriors will host Portland after this one and then visit the Denver Nuggets.

Wizards vs Warriors prediction

The Wizards are still missing Landry Shamet and Delon Wright, while the Warriors are keeping an eye on Brandin Podziemski who is questionable due to lower back soreness. The Wizards have been ice-cold since the start of the season, but they looked like a different team in last night’s thrilling win over the Trail Blazers, but I don’t think their good times will last much longer with the Warriors starting to heat up after beating the Celtics in their last outing. The Wizards are playing their second game of a back to back set, while the Warriors will be well-rested as they haven’t played since Tuesday, so I’m backing the Warriors all the way in this one.

Joe Hall's Free Pick: Golden State -12.5
