The Detroit Pistons are in a world of hurt as they are now looking to put an end to a 12-game losing streak after coming up short against the Nuggets in a 107-103 loss on Monday. Cade Cunningham led the way with 27 points and nine assists, Marvin Bagley added 18 points while Jaden Ivey chipped in with 17 points on seven of eight shooting. As a team, the Pistons shot 44 percent from the field and seven of 21 from the 3-point line as they showed plenty of fight to hang with the Nuggets in a close contest, until they went ice-cold and went scoreless in the final 1:40 to allow the Nuggets off the hook in the end.

Tyrese Haliburton led the team with 33 points and 16 assists, Buddy Hield added 31 points on 12 of 17 shooting while Myles Turner chipped in with 17 points, eight rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Pacers shot 54 percent from the field and an efficient 18 of 39 from the 3-point line as they worked hard to take a five-point lead late in the fourth quarter, only to allow the Raptors to close the final 2:36 on a 14-8 run to snatch the game away in a close finish.

The Pistons are still shorthanded with Joe Harris and Bojan Bogdanovic still out, while the Pacers are still playing without Aaron Nesmith and Andrew Nembhard. There’s no doubt that the Pacers are the deserved favorites at home, but the Pistons were more than competitive in their narrow loss to the Nuggets in their last outing and they haven’t played since Monday, so I just feel that the line is a bit too hefty in this one. I’m leaning towards the Pistons to hang around and get the backdoor cover on the road.
