The Indiana Pacers play host to the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Sunday afternoon.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been in fine form as they’ve won nine of their past 14 games overall, but they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting routed by the Bulls in a 134-122 road loss on Friday. Anthony Edwards led the team with 31 points and eight assists, Karl-Anthony Towns added 27 points with eight rebounds and eight assists while D’Angelo Russell chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 50 percent from the field and 13 of 40 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Bulls in a tight contest, but their lack of defense cost them in this one as they allowed the Bulls to shoot over 63 percent from the field.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in a real slump as they’ve lost nine of their past 11 games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a five-game slide after coming up short against the Cavaliers in a 120-113 home loss on Friday. Tyrese Haliburton led the team with 23 points and six assists, Oshae Brissett and Chris Duarte each scored 18 points while Buddy Hield added 16 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Pacers shot 47 percent from the field and 18 of 38 from the 3-point line as they hit the ground running and exploded for 47 points in the first quarter to build an early 21-point lead, but they couldn’t hold off the Cavaliers and eventually got run down in the fourth quarter where they managed just 17 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Timberwolves are 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a loss of more than 10 points, 2-9 ATS in their last 11 road games and 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games against a team with a losing record. The Pacers are 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games, 0-5 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings in Indiana, the Timberwolves are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings overall and the Timberwolves are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Indiana.

The Timberwolves will be sweating on the availability of Anthony Edwards who is listed as questionable, while the Pacers are again without Myles Turner and Isaiah Jackson while Malcolm Brogdon is listed as questionable. The loss of Edwards would be big for the Timberwolves, but they’ve been on a nice run lately and I think they can stay hot with another win and cover in this one.
