Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview
The Brooklyn Nets have been in a serious slump as they’ve lost 12 of their last 14 games overall and they will be looking to avoid a fifth straight defeat after falling painfully short to the Celtics in a 130-126 double overtime loss on Friday. Michael Porter Jr led the team with 30 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Nolan Traore added 21 points off the bench while Nic Claxton tallied 18 points with nine rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Nets shot 44 percent from the field and 13 of 44 from the 3-point line as they rallied in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but they couldn’t close out the game in the final second of overtime and it cost them in the second overtime period where the Celtics were just more clinical.
Los Angeles Clippers Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been the hottest team in the league as they’ve won 14 of their last 17 games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after taking down the Lakers in a 112-104 home win on Thursday. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 24 points, five rebounds and four assists, Ivica Zubac and James Harden each scored 18 points while Jordan Miller chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Clippers shot 48 percent from the field and 12 of 31 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Lakers from the very start and dominated the first half by 64-47 to lead by as many as 26 points and they needed all of it as the Clippers’ lead was cut to just two points midway through the fourth quarter.
Brooklyn v Los Angeles Free Prediction
The Nets are still missing Cam Thomas, Noah Clowney and Nolan Traore, while the Clippers are missing Derrick Jones Jr, Bradley Beal and Bogdanovic with Kawhi Leonard listed as questionable for this one. The Nets have been the coldest team in the league for a while now, but they were more than competitive in a narrow double overtime loss to the Celtics in their last outing which will give them some confidence, but the Clippers have been on fire lately and they open as heavy favorites at home. The Nets could make this a contest if they play like they did on Friday, but those performances have been rare this season, so I will stick with the more consistent Clippers to get the win and cover at home.
