Dallas Mavericks Betting Preview
The Dallas Mavericks haven’t been able to build any momentum this season with all the injuries they’ve had to deal with and they are now hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after falling just short to the Heat in a painful 106-102 road defeat on Monday. PJ Washington led the team with 27 points on 10 of 21 shooting, Max Christie added 15 points while Klay Thompson chipped in with 13 points off the bench. As a team, the Mavericks shot just 39 percent from the field and 12 of 40 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and had to claw their way back from a 13-point deficit to tie the game with 1:05 left on the clock, before they allowed the Heat to score the final four points to slip away in a disappointing finish.
Los Angeles Lakers Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in terrific form so far this season as they’ve reeled off 13 wins from their first 17 games and they will be gunning for a sixth straight victory after blowing past the Clippers in a 135-118 home win on Tuesday. Luka Doncic led the team with 43 points, nine rebounds and 13 assists on 14 of 28 shooting, Austin Reaves added 31 points on 11 of 16 shooting while LeBron James chipped in with 25 points, six rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Lakers shot 57 percent from the field and 13 of 29 from the 3-point line as they withstood an early barrage from the Clippers and worked to take a narrow lead into the fourth quarter where they poured in 37 points to pull away and improve to 5-2 at home this season.

The Mavericks have ruled out Kyrie Irving, Dante Exum and Dereck Lively again with Anthony Davis upgraded to questionable, while the Lakers are still missing Deandre Ayton. The Mavericks could get some much needed reinforcements for this one if Davis is able to suit up which would be big as it’s the only advantage the Mavericks would have against the Lakers who are short at the center spot. The Lakers were always going be heavy favorites at home and I think it’s deserved as they’re getting plenty of production from a bunch of players, not just Doncic who has been on fire. The Mavericks have a chance to compete if Davis can have a big game against his former team, but I think the more likely outcome is that the Lakers get hot at home and earn the win and cover.
