Magic vs Hawks Prediction
The Magic are getting the benefit of the doubt because they’re at home, but nobody is afraid of going to the Kia Center, respectfully. While the Magic are great defensively and could grind out a win, their inability to score the ball has scared me all year and worries me here. The Hawks are young, athletic and are a top-five scoring team. If the Hawks make shots, I’m not sure the Magic have the horses to respond.
Also, the Magic not having Suggs is a problem, as there’s nobody to annoy Young. The Magic are 6-11 ATS in their last 17 games when favorites of five or more points. The Hawks are 7-5 ATS in their last 12 games as an underdog, and five of those covers were outright wins. I’ll grab the points with the Hawks in the first NBA play-in game.
