The Brooklyn Nets and the Memphis Grizzlies collide at the FedExForum on Friday night.

The Brooklyn Nets have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their first nine games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after taking down the 76ers in a 122-109 home win last night. Joe Harris drained six 3-pointers to lead the team with 28 points on 11 of 19 shooting, Caris LeVert added 22 points with 10 assists while Jarrett Allen chipped in with 15 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Nets shot 45 percent from the field and 15 of 37 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the 76ers early to take a 14-point lead into halftime, before keeping the 76ers in check the rest of the way. Kevin Durant sat out his second game due to COVID protocol while Kyrie Irving sat out for personal reasons.

Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been struggling so far as they’ve lost six of their eight games and they will be hoping to stop a three-game skid after getting stopped by the Cavaliers in a 94-90 loss last night. Jonas Valanciunas led the team with 17 points, 10 rebounds and three assists, Brandon Clarke added 14 points with nine rebounds while Dillon Brooks chipped in with 11 points and four assists. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 43 percent from the field and 11 of 31 from the 3-point line as they were right in the contest with the Cavaliers, but they just couldn’t find their offense when they needed it most as they scored just two points in the final 4:36 which allowed the Cavaliers to steal the game.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nets are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games, 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games playing on zero days rest and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Grizzlies are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games, 7-2 ATS in their last nine games playing on zero days rest and 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games overall.

Head to head, the over is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings, the Nets are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings overall and the Nets are 6-1 ATGS in the last seven meetings in Memphis.

The Nets have been well below their best so far and it doesn’t help with so many key players missing due to injuries and personal reasons. The Grizzlies know a lot about injuries as they’ve struggled without their two best players and they will be low on confidence after last night’s loss to the Cavaliers.
