The Dallas Mavericks and the Memphis Grizzlies do battle once again at the FedExForum on Wednesday night.

The Dallas Mavericks have been in rough shape lately as they’ve lost eight of their past 10 games and they will be hoping to arrest a three-game slide after getting stopped by the Nets in a 102-99 home loss last night. Luka Doncic led the team with 28 points, six rebounds and nine assists, Kristaps Porzingis added 17 points with 12 rebounds and five assists while Dorian Finney-Smith chipped in with 15 points on five of 10 shooting. As a team, the Mavericks shot just 40 percent from the field and nine of 46 from the 3-point line as they dominated the first half to lead by as many as 17 points. However, all their hard work came undone in the fourth quarter where they scored just 13 points to allow the Nets to steal the game late.

Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been in red-hot form as they’ve won eight of their past 11 games and they will be eager to build on their current five-game win streak after routing the Heat in a 105-90 road win on Monday. Dillon Brooks and Desmond Bane each scored 21 points, Steven Adams scored 17 points with 16 rebounds while Tyus Jones chipped in with 14 points and seven assists. As a team, the Grizzlies shot just 42 percent from the field and 13 of 33 from the 3-point line as they poured in 60 points in the first half to lead by 11 points at halftime, before pushing the lead out to 17 points in the third quarter. The Grizzlies didn’t have their best shooting night, but they outrebounded the Heat by 47-36 while forcing them into 23 turnovers.

Looking at the betting trends, the Mavericks are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The Grizzlies are 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games against a team with a losing road record and 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the over is 4-0 in the last four meetings in Memphis.

The Grizzlies will once again be shorthanded for this one as Brandon Clarke, Ziaire Williams and Kyle Anderson have all been ruled out, but they haven’t let injuries slow them down as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall. The Mavericks have really been in a funk for a while now and their confidence took another major hit after squandering a 17-point lead to the Nets last night. I want to take the more talented Mavericks, but not in their current form and not on zero days’ rest. I think the young Grizzlies stay hot with another win and cover here.
