Memphis Grizzlies vs Portland Trail Blazers Player Prop Picks 11-25-24

The matchup between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Portland Trail Blazers on November 25, 2024, offers an intriguing battle of contrasting styles and young talent. The game will be played at the FedExForum in Memphis, and both teams are looking to solidify their positions in the Western Conference standings.

Jaren Jackson Jr. has been a standout for Memphis, averaging 22.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. With Ja Morant sidelined, Jackson’s offensive and defensive contributions will be critical. Jerami Grant leads Portland, putting up 16.4 points per game. However, his status is questionable due to illness, which could be a major factor in the game’s outcome. Memphis is coming off a high-scoring win against the Chicago Bulls, demonstrating their ability to perform offensively even without Morant. Portland has been inconsistent, with a recent win against Houston but losses against Oklahoma City and other contenders, showing vulnerability in both scoring and defense.

Desmond Bane Over 5.5 Rebounds

Desmond Bane has been a solid contributor on the boards for the Memphis Grizzlies during this season. He is averaging 6.6 rebounds per game over approximately 28.2 minutes per contest. His rebounding efforts are split between 1.0 offensive rebounds and 5.6 defensive rebounds per game, showcasing his ability to secure possessions on both ends of the court. Notably, he has recorded double-digit rebounds on a few occasions, such as an 11-rebound performance against the Denver Nuggets on November 17, 2024, which was a season-high.

Bane’s rebounding has been particularly impactful since returning from an oblique injury that sidelined him for seven games earlier in the season. In the four games after his return, he has averaged around 8.0 rebounds per game. The Trailblazers haven’t been great on the boards. They’re allowing 55 rebounds to opposing teams per game which is the 4th most in the league. We’re still getting a lot of value with this line only being set at 5.5.

Shaedon Sharpe Over 16.5 Points

Shaedon Sharpe has been a key scorer for the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2024-25 NBA season. As of late November 2024, he is averaging 18.4 points per game across 9 games, with an impressive 44.2% shooting from the field. His three-point shooting has been decent, with a 33.9% success rate on 6.2 attempts per game. Additionally, he has been efficient at the free-throw line, making 78.6% of his attempts.

Sharpe’s scoring has fluctuated across games, including a standout 36-point performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he shot 52.2% from the field. This Trailblazers team is dealing with a lot of injuries and they’ve needed a guy to step up. We’ve seen him get over this number of 16.5 points 4 of his last 5 games and he should be able to get the job done again in this spot.

Scotty Pippen Over 12.5 Points

Scotty Pippen Jr. has been a key contributor for the Memphis Grizzlies so far this season, averaging 12.6 points per game across 26 minutes per contest. He is shooting 40% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range. Notably, Pippen Jr. has been effective in recent games, including a 30-point performance against the Chicago Bulls, where he shot 81.2% from the field.

Scotty Pippen was on fire in that game in Chicago and I think he can carry that momentum into this game against the Trailblazers. With Ja Morant out this Grizzles team needs production from another guard. He’ll get a significant amount of playtime and asking for 13 points from a guy who just had 30 isn’t too much to ask for.
