The Atlanta Hawks travel to the Kaseya Center to take on the Miami Heat on Friday night.

The Atlanta Hawks are starting to turn things around as they’ve won three of their past four games and they will be looking to keep it going after sneaking past the Rockets in a 134-127 road win on Wednesday. Trae Young led the way with 30 points and 14 assists, Bogdan Bogdanovic added 22 points and five assists off the bench while Dejounte Murray chipped in with 21 points and five assists. As a team, the Hawks shot 51 percent from the field and 17 of 40 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 77 points in the first half to jump out to an early 20-point lead, but they couldn’t hold off the Rockets and needed a crucial 16-3 run at the start of the fourth quarter to get back in front for good.

Miami Heat 

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been in fine form as they’ve won four of their last six games overall and they will be looking for another win after taking down the Magic in a 115-106 road win on Wednesday. Tyler Herro led the team with 28 points, eight rebounds and seven assists on 10 of 17 shooting, Bam Adebayo added 18 points while Haywood Highsmith chipped in with 15 points off the bench. As a team, the Heat shot 48 percent from the field and 15 of 29 from the 3-point line as they took control of the contest with a 43-point explosion in the second quarter to build a 24-point lead, which allowed them to cruise the rest of the way and rest some starters early.

The Hawks are finally building a bit of momentum now and it was a real team effort to blow past the Rockets on Wednesday, while the Heat are continuing to tally on the wins despite constantly dealing with injuries to key players. The Heat will again be missing Jimmy Butler with a calf injury so a lot of the offensive load with fall onto Herro, but I still trust the shorthanded Heat at home more than I do the Hawks on the road, so that’s where I’m leaning in a close one.
