The Chicago Bulls invade the Fiserv Forum to do battle with the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night.
The Chicago Bulls have been in a real slump as they’ve lost eight of their last 11 games overall, but they will be eager to stay hot after routing the Raptors in a 113-99 win last night. DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine each scored 26 points while Nikola Vucevic chipped in with 19 points, 13 rebounds and two assists. As a team, the Bulls shot 48 percent from the field and 11 of 28 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Raptors in a tight contest until the third quarter where they used a pivotal 15-0 run to pull away and finish with the much-needed victory. Alex Caruso looked rusty as he scored just seven points on two of seven shooting, but Ayo Dosunmu provided the spark off the bench with 11 points and six assists.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have been in red-hot form as they’ve won eight of their last 10 games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this spot after getting thrashed by the Timberwolves in a 138-119 road loss on Saturday. Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez and Pat Connaughton scored 15 points apiece, Jrue Holiday added 14 points with seven assists while Grayson Allen chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Bucks shot 44 percent from the field and 19 of 52 from the 3-point line as they failed to match the Timberwolves at the start and fell behind by 12 points going into halftime before things got worse in the third quarter where the deficit ballooned to 24 points.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bulls are 5-16-1 ATS in their last 22 road games, 1-6 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Bucks are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record, 2-6 ATS in their last eight games playing on two days’ rest and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall.
Head to head, the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings overall and the Bulls are 20-8 ATS in the last 28 meetings in Milwaukee.
The Bucks will be without Khris Middleton for this one, but Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as probable which is a major boost. The Bulls were really needed last night’s win to get them out of their slump, but they’re going to need more of the same from DeRozan and LaVine in this one as the Bucks were red-hot before getting stopped by the Timberwolves on Saturday. The Bulls are more than capable of pulling off the upset here, but it’s going to be tough on zero days’ rest and the Bulls are only 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games overall. With that being said, I’m sticking with the Bucks to get it done behind big games from Antetokounmpo and Holiday.
