The Milwaukee Bucks play host to the Dallas Mavericks at the Fiserv Forum on Saturday night.

The Dallas Mavericks have been in great form to start the season as they’ve won nine of their first 12 games and they will be eager to stay hot after routing the Wizards in a 130-117 road win on Wednesday. Tim Hardaway Jr. drained seven 3-pointers to lead the team with 31 points off the bench, Luka Doncic tallied 26 points with seven rebounds and 10 assists while Derrick Jones Jr. chipped in with 20 points on eight of 11 shooting. As a team, the Mavericks shot 52 percent from the field and 17 of 42 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 41 points in the first quarter to take the early double-digit lead and they kept building on it till the margin ballooned to 27 points.

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have won five of their last seven games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after blowing past the Raptors in a 128-112 road win on Wednesday. Damian Lillard led the team with 37 points and 13 assists, Malik Beasley drained a career-high eight 3-pointers to finish with 30 points while Bobby Portis chipped in with 18 points on seven of 11 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Bucks shot 51 percent from the field and a sizzling 20 of 39 from the 3-point line as they dominated the first half by 70-47 and never looked back despite playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Mavericks are still a little shorthanded with Maxi Kleber still out, while the Bucks should have Giannis Antetokounmpo back in the lineup for this one. Both teams are coming into this one with plenty of winning momentum, so you can make an argument for either side, but the Mavericks should be well rested as they haven’t played since Wednesday and I can see them staying hot with a statement win on the road over the Bucks.
