The Orlando Magic have been in pretty good shape as they’ve won nine of their last 13 games overall and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after blowing past the Timberwolves in a 119-92 road win last night. Desmond Bane led the team with 30 points on 10 of 17 shooting, Paolo Banchero added 25 points with 15 rebounds and three assists on 10 of 18 shooting while Jalen Suggs chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Magic shot 46 percent from the field and nine of 34 from the 3-point line as they took control of the contest with a pivotal 19-2 run, but they didn’t stop there as they played excellent defense to limit the Timberwolves to just 14 points in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have been in a slump as they were riding a four-game losing streak before they finally snapped out of it with a 113-99 home win over the Jazz last night. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 27 points, nine rebounds and eight assists on nine of 14 shooting, Kyle Kuzma added 18 points with five assists while Ryan Rollins tallied 13 points with 11 rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Bucks shot 48 percent from the field and 15 of 44 from the 3-point line as they set the tone right away with a dominant 24-13 first quarter to jump out in front early, but this was a relatively close contest until the fourth quarter where the Bucks closed the final 4:32 on a 16-4 run to win by double digits in the end.

The Magic are still missing Franz Wagner and they are keeping an eye on Anthony Black and Jonathan Isaac, while the Bucks could have Kevin Porter Jr back in the lineup after he was rested last night. The Bucks were able to get a much-needed win over the Jazz last night, but it’s going to be tough to replicate that effort on zero days’ rest against a Magic team who look solid after they smashed the Timberwolves last night. This should be a close contest, but the Magic have clearly been the more reliable and consistent team lately and I think they escape with a narrow win in this one.
