The Minnesota Timberwolves play host to the New York Knicks at the Target Center on Wednesday night.

The New York Knicks have been in decent form as they’ve won four of their past six games, but they will be keen to bounce back in this one after having their three-game win streak halted by the Heat in a 98-88 home loss on Monday. Julius Randle led the team with 22 points, eight rebounds and three assists, Derrick Rose added 16 points off the bench while Immanuel Quickley chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Knicks shot just 41 percent from the field and 10 of 36 from the 3-point line as they held the Heat to just 15 points in the second quarter to take the lead at halftime, before getting completely blown out in the third quarter where they were outscored by 39-21. RJ Barrett scored just eight points on four of 12 shooting while Reggie Bullock scored just three points on one of five shooting.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been ice-cold lately as they’ve lost five of their past six games and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after falling just short to the red-hot Nets in a 112-107 road loss on Monday. Karl-Anthony Towns led the team with 31 points, 12 rebounds and five assists, Anthony Edwards added 23 points with 10 rebounds and three steals while Jaden McDaniels chipped in with 13 points, but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Timberwolves shot just 38 percent from the field and 14 of 44 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going early and fell behind by as many as 17 points, before rallying in the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to just one, but they couldn’t get over the line.

Looking at the betting trends, the Knicks are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games against a team with a losing record, 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine games overall. The Timberwolves are 17-38-1 ATS in their last 56 home games, 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games as an underdog and 6-14 ATS in their last 20 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 4-0 in the last four meetings overall.

Derrick Rose is currently listed as questionable due to left ankle soreness, but I think he suits up against his former team and has an impactful night off the bench. I have to give credit to the Timberwolves who really took it to the Nets on Monday, but the Knicks are clearly the more consistent team in better form and they are clear favorites in this spot. The Knicks are 12-3 ATS in the last 15 games against a team with a losing record and I think that trend continues here.
