The San Antonio Spurs pay a visit to the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center on Sunday night.

The San Antonio Spurs have been a team on the rise as they’ve won five of their last six games and they will be looking for a third straight victory after taking down the Nuggets in a 139-136 road win on Friday. Devin Vassell led the team with 35 points on 12 of 17 shooting, Julian Champagnie added 25 points with 10 rebounds while De’Aaron Fox chipped in with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Anthony Edwards led the team with 39 points and five assists on 12 of 24 shooting, Julius Randle added 16 points with nine rebounds and six assists while Donte DiVincenzo chipped in with 15 points and eight assists. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 49 percent from the field and 21 of 48 from the 3-point line as they struggled early on and allowed 69 points in the first thanks to fall behind by 12 points, but they poured in 35 points in the third quarter to reclaim the lead for good to earn the win and snap a three-game skid.

The Spurs are still missing Victor Wembenyama, Stephon Castle and Jordan McLaughlin, while the Timberwolves don’t have a single player listed on the injury report. The Spurs have been a revelation since Wembenyama went down with injury as other players have really stepped up and they would’ve taken so much confidence from their gritty win over the Nuggets in their last outing. The Timberwolves open as slight favorites at home but they are playing their second game of a back to back set, so I am actually interested in the Spurs to continue their run with another upset in this spot.
