The San Antonio Spurs invade the Target Center to battle the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night. Here’s a Spurs vs Timberwolves Prediction.
San Antonio Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs have been in a horrible slump as they’ve lost 11 of their last 12 games overall and they will be hoping to stop a four-game skid after getting thrashed by the Jazz in a 128-109 road defeat on Sunday. Devin Vassell led the team with 27 points, nine rebounds and five assists, Victor Wembenyama added 22 points with 10 rebounds and five blocks while Zach Collins chipped in with 17 points off the bench. As a team, the Spurs shot 46 percent from the field and 13 of 31 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and never looked in the contest after getting outscored by 63-39 in the first half. The Spurs made a bit of a run to cut into the deficit slightly, but they were never going to threaten with players like Jeremy Sochan scoring just one point on zero of five shooting.
Minnesota Timberwolves
Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in great shape as they’ve won five of their last six games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after routing the Nets in a 101-86 win on Saturday. Anthony Edwards led the team with 29 points on 11 of 23 shooting, Karl-Anthony Towns added 28 points with nine rebounds and four assists while Mike Conley chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 42 percent from the field and 12 of 38 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and managed just 19 points in the second quarter to trail by as many as 10 points, before they flipped the script and dominated the second half by 59-41 to make it look easy in the end.

- The Timberwolves have failed to cover the spread in each of their last six games as favorites following a home win.
- Five of the Timberwolves’ last six home games against Western Conference opponents have gone UNDER the total points line.
San Antonio Spurs Team Facts

- The Spurs have covered the spread in each of their last four games as road underdogs against opponents who are on the first leg of a back-to-back.
- Each of the Spurs’ last three games against Northwest Division opponents have gone UNDER the total points line.
Spurs vs Timberwolves Prediction
The Spurs are still a little shorthanded with Marcus Morris still out, while the Timberwolves are keeping an eye on Rudy Gobert who is questionable due to an ankle sprain. The Spurs have been one of the coldest teams in the league, they didn’t put up much of a fight against the struggling Jazz on Sunday, so I don’t like their chances in this spot. The Timberwolves lead the season series by 2-1, but each game has been decided by eight points or less and I think we’re going to see a similar result here. Sure, the Timberwolves could easily make this a blowout, but that hasn’t happened in three meetings this season, so I’m taking the points in this one.
