The Toronto Raptors and the New Orleans Pelicans duke it out at the Smoothie King Center on Monday night.

The Toronto Raptors have been in great shape as they’ve won 10 of their past 13 games overall, but they will be looking to bounce back in this one after having their eight-game win streak halted by the Nuggets in a 110-109 home loss on Saturday. Pascal Siakam led the team with 35 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists on 16 of 22 shooting, Fred VanVleet added 25 points with five assists while Scottie Barnes chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Raptors shot 48 percent from the field and 12 of 34 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Nuggets in a close contest until late in the fourth quarter where the Nuggets pulled away on two clutch shots from Bones Hyland and Nikola Jokic.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans have been in a real funk lately as they’ve lost six of their past 10 games and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after losing to the Spurs in a 124-114 home loss on Saturday. CJ McCollum led the team with 36 points, 11 rebounds and five assists, Brandon Ingram added 22 points while Jonas Valanciunas chipped in with 17 points and 12 assists. As a team, the Pelicans shot 49 percent from the field and 11 of 32 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Spurs in the first half, before getting blown out in the third quarter where they allowed 39 points to trail by as many as 18 points. Devonte’ Graham had a night to forget as he finished scoreless on zero of six shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Raptors are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games, 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record and 23-7 ATS in their last 30 games overall. The Pelicans are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six home games, 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the over is 6-2-2 in the last 10 meetings in New Orleans and the Raptors are 16-5 ATS in the last 21 meetings in New Orleans.

The Raptors have quietly been one of the hottest teams in the league and they were on fire before coming up painfully short to the Nuggets on Sunday, while the Pelicans have been struggling lately with all the new faces in their lineup. The Raptors are a dominant 16-5 ATS in the last 21 meetings in New Orleans and there’s no reason they can’t keep that trend going with another win and cover here.
