Oklahoma City Thunder vs New Orleans Pelicans Player Prop Picks 11-13-24

The Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans face off on November 13, 2024, in what could be an exciting showdown at Paycom Center. The Thunder have started the season off hot coming into this one with a 9-2 record. They’re led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging impressive stats, including 30.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game.

The Pelicans on the other hand are struggling coming into this one with a 3-8 record and have lost as well as failed to cover the spread in five straight games. The Pelicans are led by Brandon Ingram who has been effective with an average of 22.4 points and 4 assists per game.

Both these teams are dealing with crucial injuries with the Thunder being without Chet Holmgren and the Pelicans being without Zion Williamson. Expect a fast-paced game with high scoring from both sides, but the Thunder’s defensive edge and strong scoring depth could give them an advantage. The Pelicans will need to tighten up their defense to prevent the Thunder from capitalizing on their home-court advantage.

Brandon Ingram Over 5.5 Rebounds

Brandon Ingram has been contributing solid rebounding numbers for the New Orleans Pelicans. Through 11 games, he’s averaging 5.9 rebounds per game, with about 1.1 offensive and 4.8 defensive rebounds each game. This steady rebounding presence supports his all-around game, as he also averages 22.9 points and 5.0 assists per game, showing his role as a versatile player on both ends of the court for the Pelicans.

We’ve seen Brandon Ingram only get five rebounds in his last four games but this is a good spot for him to get over that hump. Without the presence Zion Williamson in the lineup Ingram will have more opportunities to secure boards and play more minutes. The Thunder are giving up 59.5 rebounds per game to opposing teams which is the second highest in the league. This is a good spot for Ingram to get back over this line of 5.5 rebounds.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 5.5 Assists

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 6.2 assists per game so far in the 2024-25 NBA season with the Oklahoma City Thunder. This continues his trend as a strong playmaker, contributing to his team’s offensive flow. He’s the glue that keeps this Thunder team together impacting the game in every way possible.

In Gilgeous-Alexanders last six games we’ve seen him have three games with nine assists. With Chet Holmgren out he’ll need to play even more of a role of getting guys involved in this offense. The Pelicans are allowing 28.5 assists per game which is the 5th most in the league. This will be one of SGA’s more favorable matchups so far this season and I expect to capitalize at home.

Jalen Williams Over 19.5 Points

Jalen Williams has been solid a scoring option for the Oklahoma City Thunder so far this season, averaging 19.9 points per game across his first 11 games. He’s also been efficient, shooting 49.1% from the field and 38.3% from beyond the arc, attempting an average of 4.7 threes per game. Williams has been adding scoring versatility alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and proving valuable in OKC’s offense.

In the Thunders’s first game without Chet Holmgren, we saw Williams explode for 28 points against the Clippers. He’ll be the Thunders’s second scoring option until Holmgren comes back. One of his best attributes is hitting three-point shots which the Pelicans allow 14.2 a game which is above the league average. This lines up to be another big scoring night for Jalen Williams.
