The Golden State Warriors travel to the Footprint Center to take on the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night. Here’s a Warriors vs Suns Prediction.

Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have been in decent form as they’ve split their last eight games, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after coming up painfully short to the Thunder in a 138-136 overtime road loss on Friday. Stephen Curry led the team with 34 points on 10 of 20 shooting, Jonathan Kuminga added 24 points with 12 rebounds off the bench while Klay Thompson chipped in with 22 points on eight of 15 shooting. As a team, the Warriors shot 47 percent from the field and 19 of 48 from the 3-point line as they missed out on a chance to steal the game at the end of regulation, only to allow the Thunder to open the overtime period on a 12-3 run which was too much to overcome in the end.

Golden State Warriors Team Facts

  • The home team has won each of the Warriors’ last eight games.
  • The Warriors have failed to cover the spread in each of their last six night games at Footprint Center.
  • Each of the Warriors’ last six road games against opponents who are on the first leg of a back-to-back have gone OVER the total points line.

Phoenix Suns

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have cooled off a bit lately as they’ve lost four of their last five games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting beaten by the Kings in a 114-106 loss on Friday. Devin Booker led the team with 28 points, seven rebounds and seven assists on 10 of 14 shooting, Eric Gordon added 19 points while Jusuf Nurkic chipped in with 15 points, nine rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Suns shot 48 percent from the field and 11 of 32 from the 3-point line as they poured in 33 points in the second quarter to build an 11-point lead, only to see their hard work go down the drain in the third quarter where they were outscored by an incredible 33-12.

Phoenix Suns Team Facts

  • The Suns have won each of their last six games against Western Conference opponents that held a losing record.
  • The Suns have covered the spread in each of their last six night games against the Warriors at Footprint Center.
  • Eight of the Suns’ last nine games as home favorites have gone OVER the total points line.

Warriors vs Suns Prediction

The Warriors could be shorthanded again with Chris Paul listed as day to day, while the Suns  have ruled out Grayson Allen and they are keeping an eye on Kevin Durant who is currently listed as questionable. The Warriors haven’t been terrible, but they haven’t been able to build any momentum as they haven’t won back to back games in over a month. The Suns were flying during a seven-game win streak, before losing four of their last five games which coincides with the injury to Durant. Be sure to check the lineups before tipoff, but if Durant isn’t able to suit up, I’d go with the Warriors to take advantage in this spot.
