The Houston Rockets and the Phoenix Suns collide at the Mortgage Matchup Center on Saturday night.

Houston Rockets Betting Preview

The Houston Rockets have been in great form as they reeled off seven wins from their first eight games before they got stopped in their tracks by the Timberwolves in a 117-107 loss on Wednesday. Kevin Durant led the team with 21 points on seven of 14 shooting, Fred VanVleet added 18 points while Alperen Sengun tallied a triple-double of 17 points with 12 rebounds and 10 assists. As a team, the Rockets shot 43 percent from the field and 13 of 37 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control when they worked their way to a narrow lead in the third quarter, but they couldn’t respond after the Timberwolves went on a decisive 13-4 run late in the fourth quarter. Amen Thompson had a quiet game of just 11 points on three of nine shooting with three turnovers while Marcus Smart scored just four points on one of five shooting off the bench.

Phoenix Suns Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have yet to get going this season as they’ve lost five of their first seven games, but they will be eager to build some momentum after blowing past the Magic in a 117-104 home win on Thursday to snap a four-game skid. Devin Booker led the team with 30 points and eight assists on 11 of 22 shooting, Dillon Brooks added 24 points on nine of 16 shooting while Miles Bridges tallied 18 points with 13 rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Suns shot 52 percent from the field and 17 of 34 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start and took a 12-point lead into halftime and they kept their foot on the gas until the lead ballooned to 30 points at one stage.

Houston v Phoenix Free Prediction

The Rockets have ruled out Steven Adams and Clint Capela, while the Suns are still missing Mark Williams and they are keeping an eye on Jordan Goodwin and Rasheer Fleming who are both questionable.
The Suns were able to secure a crucial win over the Magic to stop a four-game rot on Thursday, but they’re going to have to be at their best to compete with the Rockets who should be well-rested as they haven’t played since their loss to the Timberwolves on Wednesday. The Suns are playing at home which is the main reason why the line isn’t higher, so I will happily side with the more reliable Rockets to get the win and cover on the road at the modest line.
