The Phoenix Suns play host to the San Antonio Spurs at the Footprint Center on Sunday night.

The San Antonio Spurs have been in a rut as they’ve lost nine of their past 13 games overall, but they will be aiming to build some momentum after routing the Bulls in a 131-122 home win on Friday. Dejounte Murray led the team with 29 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists, Keldon Johnson added 23 points while Jakob Poeltl chipped in with 21 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Spurs shot 52 percent from the field and 16 of 37 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and trailed until the third quarter where they used a 17-4 run to take control and escape with the much-needed victory.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been in red-hot form as they’ve won 12 of their past 13 games overall and they will be eager to build on their current nine-game win streak after beating the Timberwolves in a 134-124 win on Friday. Devin Booker led the team with 29 points and nine assists, Cameron Johnson added 23 points, Chris Paul tallied a triple-double of 21 points with 10 rebounds and 14 assists while Mikal Bridges chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the Suns shot 51 percent from the field and a sizzling 20 of 39 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 40 points in the first quarter to take the early lead which they kept till the end. A total of seven players finished in double figures in scoring and they outrebounded the Timberwolves by 49-38.

Looking at the betting trends, the Spurs are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record, 7-1 ATS in their last eight road games against a team with a winning home record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a win. The Suns are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall.

Head to head, the Spurs are 3-0-1 ATS in the last four meetings in Phoenix.

The Spurs will again be without Jabok Poeltl, Dejounte Murray and Derrick White, while the Suns will be missing Deandre Ayton and Jae Crowder while JaVale McGee is listed as questionable. The Spurs haven’t been able to get anything going lately so they were really excited to get the win over the Bulls in their last outing, but they’re missing a bunch of key players in this one, which spells trouble against the elite Suns who have been on fire lately. The line is quite hefty, but the Suns are far and away the better team in this one and they should have little trouble getting the win and cover against a depleted Spurs outfit.
