The Atlanta Hawks pay a visit to the Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center on Thursday night. Here’s a Trail Blazers vs Hawks Prediction. This article will include a Trail Blazers vs Hawks Pick.

Atlanta Hawks Betting Preview

The Atlanta Hawks have been building some momentum lately as they were riding a three-game win streak before they got smashed by the Lakers in a 141-116 road defeat on Tuesday. Nickeil Alexander-Walker led the team with 26 points on 10 of 16 shooting, CJ McCollum added 25 points on 11 of 23 shooting off the bench while Jalen Johnson chipped in with 13 points and six assists. As a team, the Hawks shot 45 percent from the field and 13 of 46 from the 3-point line, but their defense was almost non-existent in the first half where they allowed the Lakers to score 81 points. This put the Hawks behind by 21 points going into halftime. Things didn’t get much better in the second half where the deficit ballooned to 32 points.

Portland Trail Blazers Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers have been in pretty good form lately as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games overall. They are now hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting trounced by the Warriors in a 119-97 road defeat on Tuesday. Shaedon Sharpe led the team with 19 points on nine of 15 shooting, Caleb Love added 17 points with seven assists while Rayan Rupert chipped in with 13 points off the bench. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot 43 percent from the field and 14 of 47 from the 3-point line, but they failed to match the pace of the Warriors from the start. They were always fighting a losing battle after getting outscored by 67-41 in a nightmare of a first half. Jrue Holiday had a quiet game of just 12 points while Tounami Camara shot just two of eight from the field for his six points.

Trail Blazers vs Hawks Prediction

The Hawks are still missing Zaccharie Risacher, Kristaps Porzingis and Luke Kennard while the Trail Blazers are still missing Kris Murray and Scoot Henderson with Deni Avdija and Jerami Grant both listed as questionable. The Hawks are coming into this meeting fresh off an ugly loss to the Lakers, but they were heating up before that defeat and I expect them to only get better once CJ McCollum gets accustomed to his new teammates. The Trail Blazers were one of the hottest teams in the league just a week ago, but they’ve dropped their last two games. Things will only get tougher until Deni Avdija or Jerami Grant are able to return to the lineup. This is a close one to call, but the Hawks are deserved road favorites in my opinion and I think they take advantage of this depleted Trail Blazers lineup.
