The Brooklyn Nets invade the Golden 1 Center to do battle with the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night.

The Brooklyn Nets have been in a funk lately as they will be hoping to put an end to an ugly five-game slide after getting stomped by the Suns in a 121-111 road loss last night. Kyrie Irving led the team with 26 points on 10 of 20 shooting, James Harden added 22 points with 10 assists while Blake Griffin chipped in with 17 points on six of 10 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Nets shot 49 percent from the field and 16 of 40 from the 3-point line as they allowed the Suns to get off to a quick start with 39 points in the first quarter, before coming up shy in the fourth quarter where their turnovers cost them big.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in a real slump as they’ve lost 12 of their past 14 games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a seven-game slide after getting routed by the Knicks in a 116-96 road loss on Monday. Tyrese Haliburton led the team with 21 points and eight assists, Davion Mitchell added 18 points and six assists while Harrison Barnes and Buddy Hield each scored 11 points. As a team, the Kings shot 43 percent from the field and 11 of 38 from the 3-point line as they struggled to find their offense and scored just 18 points in the second quarter to fall behind by 13 points going into halftime and things only got worse in the second half.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nets are 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days’ rest, 8-20 ATS in their last 28 games against a team below .400 and 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games overall. The Kings are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record, 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games following a road trip of seven or more days and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the over is 5-1 in the last six meetings in Sacramento, the Nets are 19-7 ATS in the last 26 meetings overall and the Nets are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Sacramento.

The Nets will again be without Joe Harris, Kevin Durant and LaMarcus Aldridge, while the Kings will be without Terence Davis, Marvin Bagley while De’Aaron Fox is listed as questionable. The Nets could really do with a win to get their season back on track, but it’s going to be tough to play on zero days’ rest after a tough loss. However, the Kings have been one of the coldest teams lately and they could be without their best player for this one, so I’m sticking with the Nets who are 19-7 ATS in the last 26 meetings overall.
