The Sacramento Kings play host to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Golden 1 Center on Monday night.

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers have won three of their last five games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after beating the Warriors in a 118-110 road win on Saturday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists, Evan Mobley and Darius Garland scored 19 points each while Caris LeVert provided the spark off the bench with 22 points. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 43 percent from the field and 11 of 30 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in a bit of trouble when they wasted an early 17-point lead, but they regrouped and poured in 34 points in the fourth quarter to earn the solid road win.

Cleveland Cavaliers Team Facts

  • The Cavaliers have won each of their last eight night games against the Kings following a road win.
  • The Cavaliers have failed to cover the spread in each of their last five games following a win.
  • Each of the Cavaliers’ last eight games as road favorites have gone OVER the total points line.

Sacramento Kings

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings are starting to build some momentum as they are now aiming for a third straight victory after beating the Thunder in a 105-98 home win on Friday. Kevin Huerter led the team with 28 points, nine rebounds and three steals, Keegan Murray added 24 points with 11 rebounds while Domantas Sabonis tallied a triple-double of 17 points with 13 rebounds and 13 assists. As a team, the Kings shot just 41 percent from the field and 13 of 47 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Thunder from the start, dominating the first quarter by 34-20 to open up a 17-point lead, keeping them in control right till the end.

Sacramento Kings Team Facts

  • The home team has won each of the Kings’ last six games.
  • The Kings have failed to cover the spread in each of their last seven home games against Central Division opponents after winning as underdogs.
  • Each of the Kings’ last five home games following a home win have gone UNDER the total points line.

Peter’s Pick

The Cavaliers are still shorthanded with Isaac Okoro out and Sam Merrill questionable, while the Kings are still missing De’Aaron Fox and Trey Lyles. The Cavaliers endured a slow start to the season because of all their injuries, but they’re starting to turn things around now and they would’ve taken plenty of confidence from Saturday’s road win over the Warriors. You could say the same thing about the Kings who are coming off a win over the Thunder, but they’re still missing their best player in Fox. You can make an argument for either side here, but I’m sticking with the Cavaliers to earn the win and cover at the short line here.

Joe Hall's Free Pick: Cleveland -2.5
