The Houston Rockets and the Sacramento Kings collide once again at the Golden 1 Center on Friday night in NBA action.
The Houston Rockets have been in a major slump as they’ve lost 13 of their last 14 games overall and they will be hoping to put an end to an eight-game slide after getting thrashed by the Kings in a 135-115 road loss on Wednesday. Jalen Green led the team with 26 points on nine of 25 shooting, Kenyon Martin Jr. added 21 points off the bench while Eric Gordon chipped in with 19 points. As a team, the Rockets shot 45 percent from the field and 16 of 41 from the 3-point line which was good enough to hang in the contest until the fourth quarter where the Kings exploded for 41 points to snatch the game from them in the end.
Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their last eight games and they will be gunning for a third straight victory after routing the Rockets in a 135-115 win on Wednesday. Domantas Sabonis led the team with 25 points, with 14 rebounds and nine assists, De’Aaron Fox added 24 points with nine assists while Trey Lyles chipped in with 20 points, seven rebounds and two blocks off the bench. As a team, the Kings shot 47 percent from the field and 19 of 48 from the 3-point line as they found themselves in a real arm wrestle with the pesky Rockets until the fourth quarter where they broke free to make it a complete blowout in the end.
Looking at the betting trends, the Rockets are 0-4 ATS in their last four road games, 1-6 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall. The Kings are 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games, 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a win and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Head to head, the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall and the Rockets are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings overall.
The Rockets are still missing Kevin Porter Jr, while the Kings are keeping an eye on Kevin Huerter who is currently listed as questionable with an illness. The Rockets have been the coldest team in the league and they will be so annoyed with how they got blown out despite being in the contest for three quarters of the game. It’s always tough to beat the same team twice in a row as the Rockets will be out for revenge, but the Rockets are only 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings overall, so I’ll stick with the Kings to get the win and cover again.
