Sacramento Kings vs Minnesota Timberwolves Player Prop Picks 11-15-24

The matchup between the Sacramento Kings and Minnesota Timberwolves on November 15 promises to be an exciting clash. Sacramento, led by De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis and Demar Derozan has been a potent offensive trio this season. The Kings are expected to leverage their high-paced style and offensive depth to outscore the Timberwolves, especially if they can keep up strong shooting and ball movement.

Minnesota, on the other hand, relies heavily on the defensive prowess of Rudy Gobert and the dynamic scoring ability of Anthony Edwards. They’re coming off back-to-back losses against Portland in games in which they were heavy favorites. They look to bounce back in Sacramento. Vegas has the T-wolves as a slight favorite and we see a higher total usual for a T-wolves game.

Kevin Huerter Under 2.5 Three Pointers

Kevin Huerter has been playing effectively from beyond the arc this season in certain spots. Through his games so far, he’s averaging around 5.9 three-point attempts per game, with a completion rate of 34.0%. Huerter has demonstrated variability in his three-point shooting accuracy, with some games where he hit multiple threes with percentages as high as 55.6%, and others where he struggled to make any. His shooting efficiency showcases his role as a secondary scorer with reliable three-point capabilities, though his consistency fluctuates depending on the matchup.

This is a matchup I’m looking to fade Huerter from beyond the arc. We’ve seen him only hit over this number of 2.5 threes once in his last 8 games. Now he gets matched up with this T-wolves team that’s been great defending the three. They allow 11.5 threes per game to opposition which is the fewest in the league.

Anthony Edwards Over 26.5 Points

Anthony Edwards has been averaging strong scoring stats. He’s currently putting up around 27.8 points per game while playing approximately 36.6 minutes. His field-goal percentage stands at 46.2%, and he’s made about 42.3% of his 3-point attempts on 11.4 attempts per game. Additionally, he’s averaging 3.4 made free throws on 4.7 attempts per game with a free throw percentage of 73.2%, reflecting his significant scoring role for the T-wolves this season.

Edwards has consistently put up high numbers with a mix of explosive drives, perimeter shooting, and the ability to create his own shot. The Kings have struggled defensively this season, allowing higher point totals to some of the better players in the league this season. Their defensive rating is among the lower half of the league, which opens opportunities for scorers like Edwards, who can take advantage of less intense defensive coverage, especially on the perimeter and in transition. Edwards has failed to get over this number in his last few games but this is a good spot to buy back in.

Rudy Gobert Under 11.5 Rebounds

Rudy Gobert has been maintaining a strong rebounding presence with the Minnesota Timberwolves, averaging 10.4 rebounds per game across approximately 31.8 minutes per game. His rebounding breakdown includes around 7.3 defensive rebounds and 3.1 offensive rebounds per game. This season, Gobert’s rebounding effectiveness continues to play a crucial role for the Timberwolves, especially on the defensive end where his impact helps limit second-chance opportunities for opponents.

The Kings rank among the better rebounding teams, with players like Domantas Sabonis anchoring the boards effectively. Sabonis is a formidable rebounder himself, often limiting opponents’ opportunities by boxing out effectively and challenging for every rebound. This makes it tougher for even elite rebounders like Gobert to secure high totals. We saw Gobert get under this number of 11.5 in his last two games and this isn’t a good spot for him to see an uptick in rebounds.
