The Sacramento Kings play host to the New York Knicks at the Golden 1 Center on Monday night.

The New York Knicks have been in terrible form as they’ve lost 11 of their past 13 games overall, but they will be looking to build some momentum after snapping a seven-game slide with a 116-93 road win over the Clippers last night. RJ Barrett led the team with 24 points, nine rebounds and four assists, Immanuel Quickley added 21 points with 10 rebounds and six assists off the bench while Cam Reddish chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Knicks shot 47 percent from the field and 13 of 29 from the 3-point line as they dominated the second quarter to take a 19-point lead into halftime which got reduced to 12 points before they poured in another 36 points in the fourth quarter to make it a blowout.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in a slump of their own as they’ve lost six of their last eight games and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling painfully short to the Mavericks in a 114-113 road loss on Saturday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 44 points and six assists on 18 of 31 shooting, Domantas Sabonis added 15 points with 10 rebounds and six assists while Trey Lyles chipped in with 11 points. As a team, the Kings shot 48 percent from the field and nine of 25 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start to take an early 19-point lead, but they couldn’t hold put the nail in the coffin and got burned late in the fourth quarter where the Mavericks used a pivotal 8-0 run to pull away and steal the game from them in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Knicks are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games playing on zero days’ rest, 2-7 ATS in their last nine road games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the under is 7-1 in the last eight meetings overall and the Knicks are 5-2-1 ATS in the last eight meetings in Sacramento.

The Knicks were finally able to snap out of their funk with a much-needed win over the surging Clippers last night, so they will be keen to keep it going against a struggling Kings team who just blew a 19-point lead to the Mavericks in their last outing. You couldn’t put your hard-earned money on either team with much confidence these days and I understand why the Kings would be favorites at home, but the Knicks just took down a red-hot Clippers team with ease and I think they can do just enough to get another win here.
