The New Orleans Pelicans and the San Antonio Spurs duke it out at the AT&T Center on Saturday night.

The New Orleans Pelicans have been in decent form lately as they’ve split their last six games and they were gunning for a third straight win before getting stopped by the Bucks in a 129-125 road loss on Thursday. Zion Williamson led the team with 34 points, eight rebounds and six assists on 15 of 26 shooting, Brandon Ingram added 23 points, Lonzo Ball added 20 points with eight assists while Eric Bledsoe chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Pelicans shot 50 percent from the field and 13 of 39 from the 3-point line as they took it to the narrow lead late in the fourth quarter, until the Bucks closed the final 2:44 on a 9-2 run to steal the game late.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have won five of their last seven games overall, but they will be keen to bounce back in this one after falling painfully short to the Thunder in a heartbreaking 102-99 road loss on Wednesday. Dejounte Murray led the team with 27 points, nine rebounds and six assists, Patty Mills added 15 points while Lonnie Walker chipped in with 12 points on five of 16 shooting. As a team, the Spurs shot 46 percent from the field and nine of 25 from the 3-point line as they turned the ball over with just 3.9 seconds remaining which led to the Thunder stealing the game at the buzzer behind a game-winning three from Dort in the corner. LaMarcus Aldridge returned from a six-game absence but finished with just 11 points on three of 10 shooting off the bench.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pelicans are 8-17 ATS in their last 25 games playing on one days’ rest and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games against a team with a losing home record. The Spurs are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 5-1 ATS in their last six games playing on two days’ rest.

Head to head, the under is 6-2-1 in the last nine meetings in San Antonio and the Pelicans are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall.

The Pelicans have been playing well lately and they were more than competitive in their narrow loss to the Bucks in their last outing, while the Spurs are coming off two postponed games and two losses in a row after falling to the Thunder in their last outing. The Spurs should be the fresher of the two teams and they’re starting to get healthier with Aldridge back in the lineup, but the Pelicans are the team in better form and I think they can get the win here against a shaky Spurs team.
