The Phoenix Suns were in decent form heading into the break as they have won five of their last nine games overall, but they will be eager to bounce back here after getting humbled by the Thunder in a 136-109 home defeat on Wednesday. Dillon Brooks led the team with 23 points, five rebounds and four assists, Royce O’Neale and Jordan Goodwin each scored 12 points while Jamaree Bouyea chipped in with 11 points but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Suns shot 47 percent from the field and 15 of 42 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and leaked 75 points in the first half to trail by as many as 37 points at one stage. The Suns just had no answer for the Thunder’s Jalen Williams who torched them for 28 points on 11 of 12 shooting in just 20 minutes of action.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in great shape as they’ve won 11 of their last 14 games overall and they will be looking to build on their current six-game win streak after routing the Warriors in a 126-113 road win on Wednesday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 27 points and eight assists on 11 of 16 shooting, Victor Wembenyama added 26 points with nine rebounds and four assists while Keldon Johnson chipped in with 21 points on eight of 13 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Spurs shot 49 percent from the field and 10 of 39 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Warriors early on and leaked 38 points in the first quarter to trail for most of the contest, but they chipped away at the deficit and took over in the fourth quarter where they outscored the Warriors by 32-19 to secure the solid road win.

The Suns could have Jalen Green, Grayson Allen and Cole Anthony returning to the lineup, while the Spurs have ruled out David Jones Garcia and Lindy Waters III again. These teams have already clashed twice in Phoenix this season with the Suns winning both meetings, but the Spurs are clearly the hotter team at the moment and they have all their key players healthy and playing well, so I will lay the points with the Spurs in this spot.
