Portland Trail Blazers Betting Preview
The Portland Trail Blazers have been in pretty good form as they’ve won six of their last 10 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after blowing past the Pelicans in a 122-109 road win last night. Deni Avdija led the team with 34 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists, Shaedon Sharpe added 23 points on nine of 18 shooting while Caleb Love chipped in with 22 points on seven of 13 shooting. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot 45 percent from the field and 16 of 47 from the 3-point line as they dominated the second quarter by 34-18 to overcome a 10-point deficit and take the lead into halftime before they exploded for 37 points in the fourth quarter to lead by as many as 22 points at one stage.
San Antonio Spurs Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in great form as they’ve won 10 of their last 13 games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after beating the Pacers in a 123-113 road win last night. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 24 points, seven rebounds and four assists on 10 of 19 shooting, Dylan Harper added 22 points on nine of 15 shooting off the bench while Stephon Castle chipped in with 19 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Spurs shot 45 percent from the field and 13 of 46 from the 3-point line as they caught fire with 41 points in the second quarter to take a 13-point lead into halftime but they couldn’t really put the Pacers away until the fourth quarter where they opened with a 16-8 run to start to pull away.
Portland v San Antonio Free Prediction
The Trail Blazers are still missing Scoot Henderson, Jrue Holiday, Matisse Thybulle and Jerami Grant, while the Spurs are missing Devin Vassell and Victor Wembenyama. The Trail Blazers have been playing some decent basketball lately and they certainly looked good in last night’s big win over the Pelicans, but now they’re up against the red-hot Spurs who are still dangerous despite playing without Wembenyama who is still injured. These teams last met on Nov 26 and it was the Spurs who romped to a 115-102 win and I am expecting a similar result in this one with the Spurs earning the win and cover at home.
