Utah Jazz Betting Preview
The Utah Jazz have been in a major slump as they’ve lost nine of their last 11 games overall and they will be hoping to snap a three-game skid after getting trampled by the Mavericks in a 138-120 road defeat on Saturday. Keyonte George led the team with 29 points and six assists on nine of 15 shooting, Brice Sensabaugh added 25 points on 10 of 20 shooting off the bench while Ace Bailey chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the Jazz shot 54 percent from the field and 10 of 31 from the 3-point line, but they were put on the back foot from the start against an inspired Mavericks squad and were always trailing after leaking 42 points in the first quarter.
San Antonio Spurs Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in decent shape lately as they’ve won six of their last 10 games overall and they will be gunning for a third straight victory after sneaking past the Timberwolves in a 126-123 win on Saturday. Victor Wembenyama led the team with 39 points on 12 of 23 shooting, De’Aaron Fox added 25 points with 12 assists on 10 of 17 shooting while Keldon Johnson chipped in with 20 points off the bench. As a team, the Spurs shot 50 percent from the field and 15 of 38 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 48 points in the second quarter to take a 25-point lead into halftime, but they completely squandered the lead and didn’t really reclaim control until Keldon Johnson nailed a clutch 3-pointer to put the Spurs up by four points with 17.3 seconds left on the clock.
Utah v San Antonio Free Prediction
The Jazz are still missing Georges Niang, Walker Kessler and Lauri Markkanen, while the Spurs have ruled out Devin Vassell once again. The Jazz are currently one of the coldest teams in the league, they will again be missing their leading scorer in Markkanen and they are coming into this one fresh off a second straight blowout defeat to the shorthanded Mavericks who were missing all their best players. The Spurs were always going to be massive favorites in this matchup, but I think it’s justified as the Spurs are as healthy as they’ve been all season and they should be able to run up the score against this slumping Jazz squad.
