Thunder vs Spurs Prediction
The Thunder will be favored because they’re at home and historically home teams own game 7s in the NBA. That hasn’t been as much the case lately, but still. The Thunder also haven’t lost back-to-back playoff games dating back to last season’s title run. The last time OKC lost two straight in the playoffs was when they lost to the Mavs in the conference finals in 2024.
With all of that said, those who have followed me all year know where I’m going with this spot. It’s Spurs for me. I’ve been on the Spurs in every game this series and pegged them to win the title since December. I’ll continue to say it: the Spurs are the one team in the league that doesn’t fear the Thunder and has had consistent success against them. OKC is also still undermanned with all of their questionable guys already being ruled out, and SGA looked gassed at times in Game 6 as he keeps getting blitzed with multiple defenders.
As long as the Spurs can survive when Wemby isn’t on the floor, they should win. Give me the points and the ML.
