The Dallas Mavericks and the Toronto Raptors duke it out at the Amalie Arena on Monday night.

The Dallas Mavericks have been in decent form as they’ve split their first 12 games, but they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat in this one after getting routed by the Bulls in a 117-101 home loss last night. Luka Doncic led the way with a triple-double of 36 points with 16 rebounds and 15 assists, Kristaps Porzingis added 20 points on nine of 18 shooting while Willie Cauley-Stein chipped in with 10 points. As a team, the Mavericks shot 44 percent from the field and eight of 31 from the 3-point line, but they didn’t match the intensity of the Bulls and quickly found themselves struggling after falling behind by 15 points at halftime. The Mavericks’ starting lineup was fine, but their second unit got outscored by 61-22.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors have really struggled so far this season, but they will be aiming for a third straight win after outlasting the Hornets in a 116-113 home win on Saturday. Norman Powell drained six 3-pointers to lead the team with 24 points off the bench, Kyle Lowry added 19 points with six assists, OG Anunoby scored 18 points while Fred VanVleet chipped in with 15 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists. As a team, the Raptors shot just 41 percent from the field but a sizzling 21 of 49 from the 3-point line as they rallied back from a 12-point deficit before escaping with the naritem win with free thitems down the stretch.

Looking at the betting trends, the Mavericks are 27-11 ATS in their last 38 games following a loss of more than 10 points, 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall. The Raptors are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 home games, 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 9-4 in the last 13 meetings overall and the Mavericks are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall.

Doncic has been putting up monster numbers on a nightly basis to keep the Mavericks above water, but they will be eager to bounce back in this one after their lack of bench production cost them a winnable game against the Bulls. The Raptors were easily the most disappointing team through their first 10 games, but they’re confidence is starting to build following consecutive wins over the Hornets. The Raptors should be good enough to win this one with the roster they have, but that’s been the case for them in almost every game this season. The Mavericks are the more consistent team and they are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall, so I like them as the road underdog here.
