The Phoenix Suns and the Portland Trail Blazers duke it out at the Moda Center on Saturday night. Here’s a Trail Blazers vs Suns Prediction. This article will include a Trail Blazers vs Suns Pick.
Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns have been in great shape as they’ve won nine of their last 12 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after making light work of the Warriors in a 130-105 road win last night. Devin Booker led the team with 31 points and 11 assists on 12 of 23 shooting, Bradley Beal added 21 points off the bench, Kevin Durant scored 19 points while Nick Richards chipped in with 14 points and 16 rebounds. As a team, the Suns shot 56 percent from the field and 19 of 39 from the 3-point line as they made most of their open shots to take the early lead and they just kept piling on the points right till the end to come away with one of their most dominant wins of the season despite a quiet game from Durant. The Suns will play against the Thunder following this one.
Portland Trail Blazers
Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers have sprung to life with six wins from their past seven games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after blowing past the Magic in a 119-90 home win on Thursday. Scoot Henderson led the team with 23 points and seven assists, Shaedon Sharpe added 23 points off the bench while Deandre Ayton chipped in with 22 points on 10 of 12 shooting. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot 52 percent from the field and 12 of 25 from the 3-point line, but you can credit this win to their effort on defense as they dominated the second quarter by 34-18 to take the lead and kept the pressure on, limiting the Magic to just 37 points in the second half to get the impressive win at home.
Trail Blazers vs Suns Prediction
The Suns will likely have a full squad once again, while the Trail Blazers are still missing Matisse Thybulle and they have Jerami Grant listed as questionable. The Suns come into this meeting as one of the hottest teams in the league after smashing the Warriors, but they are playing their second game of a back-to-back set against a Trail Blazers squad who are playing some of their best basketball of the season. It wouldn’t be shocking at all if the Trail Blazers pulled off the minor upset, but I would rather go with the more consistent Suns to get over the line in a close one.
