The Los Angeles Lakers and the Utah Jazz do battle at the Vivint Arena on Tuesday night.
The Los Angeles Lakers have been in great form as they’ve won six of their last seven games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after routing the Rockets in a 134-109 road win on Sunday. Anthony Davis led the way with 40 points, nine rebounds and two blocks, Rui Hachimura added 20 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks off the bench while LeBron James tallied a triple-double of 18 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. As a team, the Lakers shot 55 percent from the field and nine of 30 from the 3-point line as they shot out to an early lead with 35 points in the first quarter and were always in control.
Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz have been in a slump as they’ve lost six of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after coming up short against the Nets in a 111-110 road loss on Sunday. Talen Horton-Tucker led the way with 32 points and eight assists on 12 of 25 shooting, Lauri Markkanen added 23 points while Ochai Agbaji chipped in with 19 points. As a team, the Jazz shot 44 percent from the field and eight of 32 from the 3-point line as they scored just 17 points in the first quarter to fall into a 23-point deficit, before they scored 42 points in the fourth quarter only to come up just short in the end.
Looking at the betting trends, the Lakers are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games, 19-8 ATS in their last 27 games against a team with a losing record and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall. The Jazz are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 home games, 8-2-2 ATS in their last 12 games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Utah and the Lakers are 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings overall.
The Lakers could be shorthanded here as LeBron James is questionable, while the Jazz are still missing Jordan Clarkson and they have listed Lauri Markkanen and Collin Sexton as questionable. The Lakers could be without James again, but they been playing some great basketball without him and they are a solid 9-4 ATS In the last 13 meetings overall. The line is a little hefty, but I think the Lakers get the win and over with ease in this spot.
