Utah Jazz vs Phoenix Suns Player Prop Picks 11-12-24
The Utah Jazz and Phoenix Suns are set to face off on November 12, 2024, in a matchup that is expected to be competitive. The game will be held at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a scheduled tip-off at 9:00 PM ET. The Suns are entering this game as 3-point favorites, This is largely due to their star-studded roster, including Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Kevin Durrant, all of whom can have a significant impact on both ends of the floor. Booker’s scoring ability and Beal’s playmaking make the Suns a tough team offensively. The Suns’ strong team defense and overall depth also give them an edge in this matchup.
The Jazz will look to Lauri Markkanen and Collin Sexton to lead the way. While the Jazz might not be as deep as the Suns, they have a competitive squad that can challenge Phoenix. Markkanen’s versatile scoring and rebounding, combined with Sexton’s energy and ability to drive to the basket, will give Utah a shot in this game even though they’re 2-7.
Devin Booker Over 6.5 Assists
Devin Booker is averaging 6.8 assists per game in the 2024-25 season, contributing significantly to the Phoenix Suns’ offense as both a scorer and playmaker. Along with his 23.1 points per game, he has been consistently involved in setting up his teammates, showcasing his ability to facilitate and manage the floor. His assists are a key component of his all-around performance, helping to create scoring opportunities for others while maintaining efficiency in scoring.
We’ve seen him have back-to-back games with 12 assists which is currently his season high. This Suns team has relied on Booker to be their main facilitator with him getting over six assists in 5 of his last 6 games. With Kevin Durrant out for some time with a calf injury I expect Devin Booker to have the ball in his hands more than usual. Also, the Jazz give up 28.8 assists per game to opposing teams which is the 5th most in the league.
Lauri Markkanen Under 20.5 Points
For the 2024-25 season, Lauri Markkanen is averaging 16.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. His shooting efficiency has seen a slight dip with a 38.5% field goal percentage and a 36.2% mark from three. Despite these fluctuations, he remains a significant contributor to the Utah Jazz, particularly with his rebounding and scoring.
Lauri Markkanen started the season dropping 35 points but since then it’s been a tough go for the Jazz’s best player. He’s failed to get over his points line in all but one game. It’s hard for me to trust Lauri after what I’ve seen from him so far this season. Until he proves me otherwise I’ll be looking to take his unders in the near future.
Bradley Beal Over 19.5 Points
Bradley Beal is currently averaging 17.0 points per game in the 2024-25 NBA season with the Phoenix Suns. He is also contributing 3.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. While his scoring is slightly down from previous years, he continues to be a consistent offensive presence for the Suns, particularly in creating opportunities for others. Beal’s shooting splits are 46.1% from the field and 37.2% from three.
With Kevin Durrant not playing in this game I’m looking to target other Suns scorers to pick up the slack. We saw in the Suns last game Bradley Beal exploded for 28 points which is his season high so far. I expect another big game from him against his Utah team who’s been getting exposed on defense all season long. They’re allowing 118.8 points per game to opposing teams which is the 5th most in the league. They also allow 14.4 three-pointers per game which is the 7th most in the league. With a spread of the Suns only -3, we might see a close game which would result in a lot of minutes from Beal. All around this matchup sets up Beal for a big game.
