The Jaguars search for their first win of the season as they head on the road to Tennessee to take on a surging Titans club.
There are many teams in the league that take full advantage of their bye weeks for various reasons including to stop a spiraling season, heal some injuries, and just to take a week off but for the Jacksonville Jaguars there is a whole new reason why they enjoyed the bye week - they didn’t lose. Actually, they did somehow manage to lose a ton without stepping foot onto the gridiron as their best player in Justin Blackmon who recently returned to the Jags lineup after serving an early season suspension has now been banned once again and will likely be out indefinitely. Now, the Jags must go into Nashville and take on a red hot Tennessee Titans team who is coming off a huge road win in St. Louis last week and is chasing down the Indianapolis Colts for the AFC South division lead. The Jags could possibly go 0-16 this season and while the odds are not in favour of that feat it is tough to see them winning a game especially a divisional encounter on the road.

Tennessee meanwhile is surging at the right time as they pulled to the .500 mark through the mid-way point of the season and now have their chance to use the Jags as a stepping stone like every else has this season. Chris Johnson is starting to regain form and he looks dangerous running the ball at the moment and the return of Jake Locker to the lineup has been a huge boost for the Titans who can pull to within a single game of the Colts with a win. The Titans have some other weapons at their disposal on both sides of the ball and against a Jaguars team who just lost one of the only solid pieces they have they could have a field day against them in this one. The Titans need a victory here and while they may be susceptible to a letdown after a big win on the road last week and are coming home to a terrible Jags team but I think the Titans will be ready for this one. While a double digit spread in any divisional game is never something to brush past I think in this instance these teams are more than two scores apart in terms of talent and I look for the Titans defense to have great success against Chad Henne.
