The New Orleans Saints and the Las Vegas Raiders meet in week 2 NFL action on Monday Night Football.

The New Orleans Saints will look to build off of a solid start to the year by virtue of a 34-23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last time out. Drew Brees threw for 160 yards and 2 touchdowns on 18 of 30 passing while Latavius Murray had 48 rushing yards and Alvin Kamara added 16 rushing yards and a touchdown. Kamara also added 5 catches for 51 yards and a touchdown while Jared Cook had 5 catches of his own for a team-high 80 yards. Emmanuel Sanders also had a touchdown reception for the Saints. Defensively, C.J. Gardner-Johnson had 10 total tackles with 9 solo tackles while Janoris Jenkins had 9 total tackles with 8 solo tackles and a 36-yard pick-six. Marcus Williams also chipped in an interception in the winning effort for the Saints.

The Las Vegas Raiders will also look to build off of a season-opening win, with theirs coming in the form of a 34-30 win over Carolina last time out. Derek Carr threw for 239 yards and a touchdown on 22 of 30 passing while Josh Jacobs ran for 93 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead the Raiders’ ground attack. Henry Ruggs III had a team-high 55 receiving yards with 3 receptions while Jacobs had 4 catches out of the backfield for 46 yards. Darren Waller added a team-high 6 receptions for 45 yards while Nelson Agholor had a 23-yard touchdown grab, the lone TD for the Raiders’ receiving group. Defensively, Johnathan Abram had a team-high 13 total tackles as well as 9 solo tackles as well as a tackle for a loss in the winning effort.

New Orleans is 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games overall and 35-16 ATS in their last 51 road games while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 Monday games. Las Vegas is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games as a home underdog while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 Monday games. The road team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.

I get that the Saints are one of the better defensive teams in the NFL, which is saying something after being one of the worst in the league not long ago, and they just held a talented Bucs team to just 23 points in week 1. With that said, the Saints probably put up another 30+ spot here against a Raiders team that’s definitely prioritizing offense first, and I expect the Raiders to hold their own on the scoreboard as well. Even in week 2, I thought we would see a higher total than what’s here, but I’ll take it as less wood to chop. Give me the over in this one.
