Defensively, Carolina is allowing 23.5 points and 340.5 yards per game. Jeremy Chinn leads the Carolina Panthers with 49 tackles, Brian Burns has two sacks and Donte Jackson has two interceptions.

The New Orleans Saints are coming off a bye week and look for a third straight victory. The New Orleans Saints have won eight of their last 11 home games. Drew Brees is completing 71 percent of his passes for 1,331 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions. Brees has two or more touchdown passes in 10 of his last 14 games. Alvin Kamara and Emmanuel Sanders have combined for 699 receiving yards and five touchdowns while Tre’Quan Smith has 16 receptions. The New Orleans Saints ground game is averaging 115 yards per contest, and Kamara leads the way with 281 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, New Orleans is allowing 30 points and 337.4 yards per game. Demario Davis leads the New Orleans Saints with 36 tackles, Trey Hendrickson has 4.5 sacks and Marcus Williams has one interception.

The Panthers are 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 vs. NFC, 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games in October and 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Carolina Panthers are coming off a bad loss last week to the Chicago Bears, but they’re still one of the better defensive teams in the league and have gotten impressive play out of Bridgewater up to this point. The New Orleans Saints have had an extra week to prepare for this game, but their defense has been a major letdown up to this point and Brees hasn’t been the difference maker he’s been in years past. It’s also not as scary to play in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome with no fans in the building. This is a lot of points to give a Saints team that’s looked shaky and needed big comebacks to beat subpar teams. Under normal circumstances this line would make sense, but not right now.
