The Saints are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. NFC South, 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games following a bye week and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games. The under is 4-0 in Panthers last 4 games overall. The over is 5-0 in Saints last 5 games overall. The Panthers are 15-5 ATS in their last 20 meetings in New Orleans and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings.
The Carolina Panthers are coming off a bad loss last week to the Chicago Bears, but they're still one of the better defensive teams in the league and have gotten impressive play out of Bridgewater up to this point. The New Orleans Saints have had an extra week to prepare for this game, but their defense has been a major letdown up to this point and Brees hasn't been the difference maker he's been in years past. It's also not as scary to play in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome with no fans in the building. This is a lot of points to give a Saints team that's looked shaky and needed big comebacks to beat subpar teams. Under normal circumstances this line would make sense, but not right now.
I'll take my chances with the Carolina Panthers and the points.
