The New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts meet Wednesday afternoon in a Madden20 NFL simulation game.

The New York Jets didn’t win a whole lot in the real life season, but they have some talent on the video game side, especially on defense where safety Jalen Adams and linebackers CJ Mosely and Avery Williamson are all ranked 85 or higher overall. Running back Le’Veon Bell carries an 88 overall rating with a 89 speed rating and 92 acceleration rating. Wide receiver Robby Anderson is the fastest player on the team with a 94 speed rating and 84 overall rating. Quarterback Sam Darnold has a 74 overall rating with a 77 awareness rating and a 83 acceleration rating. For a team that didn’t win a whole lot on the actual field, the New York Jets have some talent in the virtual world and they’re good enough to win with if played with online. Don’t sleep on these Jets.

The Indianapolis Colts weren’t given many favors in this game rating wise, but they have a respectable offensive line with Quenton Nelson and his 94 rating as well as Anthony Castonzo and his 85 overall rating. There’s also some decent options on the outside in TY Hilton and Eric Ebron, both who are ranked in the high 80s overall. After that, things start to fall off a bit with the Colts and it’s hard to find players who can takeover a game. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett is ranked 72 overall and has an 84 acceleration rating, and his awareness rating is just 74 so he comes with boneheaded plays in these simulation games. The Colts are one of those teams that have to play at a high level for 60 minutes and the second they make mistake things can unravel rather quickly. Most people aren’t running to the sticks to play with the Colts in Madden20.

You can make a case that both of these teams are pretty much in the same boat when it comes to overall ratings, but it’s the New York Jets who have more talent at the key positions on offense and the speed is a difference maker as well. Because of offensive weapons such as Anderson and Bell, the Jets are often an underrated team and has cashed many simulation tickets in the past because they’re overlooked. The Indianapolis Colts just don’t have a lot going for them in the video game world and aren’t a team I’m looking to back, especially in the favorite role.

Give me the Jets and the free points.
