The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Arizona Cardinals meet Sunday in NFL action from State Farm Stadium. Here’s a Cardinals vs Jaguars prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Cardinals vs Jaguars pick.
Jacksonville Jaguars Betting Preview
The Jaguars kicked off the season on a nice 4-1 run, falling to only the Cincinnati Bengals while otherwise beating the Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs in that time. Jacksonville would lose three of the next four though, beating only the Raiders in overtime among losses to the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams and Houston Texans. The Jaguars fell 36-29 versus Houston on November 9, notching just 213 total yards, 119 passing yards, 3.9 yards per play, 19 first downs and 4-of-11 on third-down tries. Jacksonville notched two turnovers and the team committed nine penalties as well.
In their last outing on Sunday versus the Chargers, Jacksonville continued to chug along and keep themselves above the .500 mark. The Jags scored points in every quarter—including 14 in the fourth—on the way to a blowout home win 35-6. QB Trevor Lawrence was 14-of-22 for 153 yards, one TD and one interception while also scoring a rush touchdown. Lead rusher Bhayshul Tuten had 74 yards and a score off 15 carries, and Travis Etienne notched two touchdowns among his 19 carries for 73 yards. Jakobi Meyers caught five balls for 64 yards as the team’s leading receiver in the victory effort.
Arizona Cardinals Betting Preview
Over on the Arizona side, they won their first two games versus New Orleans and Carolina, then hit the skids. The Cardinals lost the next five versus the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts and GreenBay Packers. After a win versus the Dallas Cowboys, Arizona fell back into the loss column versus the Seattle Seahawks on November 9 by a score of 44-22. In that one the Cards gave up 21 points in the first quarter along with 372 yards, 22 first downs, 6.3 yards per play and 6-of-10 on third-down tries. The defense did come up with three takeaways, but it hardly mattered in the end result.
Matched up against the 49ers last weekend, the Cardinals were looking at a 25-10 deficit by the break. Arizona ended up surrendering points in every quarter—including double-digits in each of the first three—during a 41-22 blowout loss at home. QB Jacoby Brissett had 452 yards, two scores and two picks on 47-of-57 passing, and Zonovan Knight carried five times for 24 yards and a touchdown. Michael Wilson had a stellar statistical day on 15 catches for 185 yards, as did Trey McBride on 10 catches for 115 yards and a score.

Cardinals vs Jaguars Prediction
I’ll lean toward the Jags here. Jacksonville had a great game versus the Chargers over the weekend and excelled on both sides. The Jaguars posted 345 yards on offense, 192 rush yards, 5.0 yards per play, 30 first downs and just one team penalty. The defense held the opposition to just 135 yards, 3.0 yards per play, eight first downs and 3-of-12 on third-down tries. The Jaguars have scored 29 or more points in three straight games, winning two of those.
As for Arizona, they gained 488 total yards, 452 pass yards and 24 first downs in their loss to the Niners. Trouble is, the Cards also put up just 6-of-14 on third downs, three turnovers and 17 penalties for 130 yards. The defense only gave up 281 yards and 3-of-9 on third downs but San Francisco still scored 41 points due to all the miscues. Arizona needs to shore up a lot of areas before this weekend’s game.
