The Carolina Panthers and Washington Football Team meet Sunday afternoon in week 11 NFL action from Bank of America Stadium. Washington is fresh off a 20-point win over the Buccaneers in their last game. As for the Panthers, they beat Arizona by two touchdowns in their most recent outing. Washington came out of the gate this year with a 2-2 run, beating the Giants and Falcons in that stretch. After a four-game losing streak versus the Saints, Chiefs, Packers and Broncos, the Team finally managed a 29-19 win over Tampa Bay last weekend.

In the win over the Buccaneers, Washington was up 16-6 at the half and scored in every quarter. QB Taylor Heinicke finished with 256 yards and a TD, while Antonio Gibson added 64 yards and two scores rushing. Terry McLaurin led the receivers on 59 yards from six catches.

Over on the Carolina side, their 2022 season began with wins over the Jets, Saints and Texans. The Panthers then hit a four-game losing streak against the Cowboys, Eagles, Vikings and Giants. Carolina is 2-1 in their last pair with wins over the Falcons and Cardinals.

In the 34-10 win over Arizona last weekend, Carolina got off to a 23-0 lead after the first half. QB Phillip Walker posted 167 yards and an interception, while Christian McCaffrey topped the rush with 95 yards. McCaffrey also led the receivers with 66 yards from 10 grabs.

The Team are 4-1 ATS in their last five in Week 11 and 1-4 ATS in their last five overall. Washington is 1-4 ATS in their last five road games.
Meanwhile, the Panthers are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 in Week 11 and 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall. Carolina is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 as a favorite.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Carolina. The Panthers put up a nice win over Arizona in their last outing, with 341 total yards to the Cardinals’ 169. Carolina played something of a sloppy game with nine penalties and two turnovers, but they also held Arizona to just 3.2 yards per play with 11 first downs and caused a pair of turnovers themselves.

As for Washington, they’re coming off a solid win over a good team as well. The Team posted 320 total yards and went 11-of-19 on third downs. I like Washington to hang around here for a while, but if Carolina is playing well the cover should be theirs.
