The Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals clash Sunday in a key week 17 NFL showdown from AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
The Arizona Cardinals come into this one looking to snap a three-game losing streak after a 22-16 loss to Indianapolis in their last game. Kyler Murray has thrown for 3,284 yards, 21 touchdowns and 10 interceptions on 69.1% passing while James Conner has 700 rushing yards with 14 TDs and Chase Edmonds has rushed for 539 yards this season. Christian Kirk leads the Cardinals with 69 grabs for 860 yards and 5 TDs while A.J. Green has 751 receiving yards and DeAndre Hopkins has 572 receiving yards and a team-high 8 TDs this season. On defense, Jordan Hicks leads the Cardinals with 110 total tackles while also logging 4 sacks while Byron Murphy Jr. has 4 interceptions and Markus Golden has a team-high 11 sacks. Chandler Jones also has 9.5 sacks for Arizona this season.
The Dallas Cowboys will try to add to their current four-game winning streak after a 56-14 rout of Washington on Sunday night. Dak Prescott’s thrown for 3,928 yards, 29 touchdowns and 10 picks on 68.7% passing while Ezekiel Elliott has 899 rushing yards with 10 TDs and Tony Pollard has 710 rushing yards as well this season. CeeDee Lamb has a team-high 74 receptions for 1,006 yards and 6 scores while Amari Cooper and Dalton Schultz each have 700+ receiving yards as well. On defense, Jayron Kearse leads the Cowboys with 95 total takcles while Trevon Diggs has 11 interceptions and Micah Parsons has a team-high 13 sacks this season.
Arizona is 18-7-2 ATS in their last 27 road games and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 games following a loss. Dallas is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games while the over is 10-3 in their last 13 games as a home favorite.
I get the case to be made either way here as both sides have been solid this season. However, these are also two teams headed in different directions as Arizona is sliding and Dallas is picking up steam. Sure you could argue a letdown is possible for Dallas after walloping a division rival, but I think that adds fuel to Dallas’ fire and gets the Cowboys another win and cover against this slumping Cardinals squad.
