The Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars do battle Sunday in week 6 NFL action from Lucas Oil Stadium. Jacksonville is coming off a tough seven-point loss to the Texans. The Jaguars sit at 2-3 so far. As for the Colts, they’re 2-2-1 on the young season and fresh off an overtime win versus Denver. Check back all season long for free NFL picks at Sports Chat Place.

Jacksonville kicked off the year with a 28-22 loss to the Commanders, but the team bounced back well with a big 24-0 win over the Colts in game two. Game three was another win 38-10 over the Chargers, then came a 29-21 loss to the Eagles.

On Sunday versus the Texans, Jacksonville had a 6-6 tie at the break. The Jaguars couldn’t score in the second half and ended up with a 13-6 defeat. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence notched 286 yards and two picks, while Travis Etienne had 71 yards on 10 carries.

Over on the Colts’ side, their year began with an odd 20-20 tie versus the Texans. Indianapolis took the 24-0 loss in week two, then beat the Chiefs 20-17 in an upset. Indianapolis couldn’t take advantage of the momentum and lost 24-17 to the Titans the next week.

Indianapolis took on the Broncos last Thursday in an intense field goal battle. The teams combined for seven of them as the only scoring in a 12-9 Colts win. QB Matt Ryan put up 251 yards with two picks, and Deon Jackson added 13 carries for 62 rush yards.

The Jaguars are 8-20 ATS in their last 28 October games and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 overall. Jacksonville is 1-4 ATS in their last five in week six.

Meanwhile, the Colts are 5-2 ATS in their last seven in October and 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall. Indianapolis is 1-3-1 ATS in their last five in week six.

PICK: I’m probably going to stay with Jacksonville. The Jaguars need to bounce back from the disappointing Texans loss, though. Jacksonville put up 422 total yards and 22 first downs in that one, but the two interceptions and sketchy 6-of-14 rate on third downs didn’t help matters in the second half.

As for Indianapolis, they haven’t exactly been dynamos on offense this year, finishing with 20 points or fewer in four of the five games. The last time these teams met up was a pretty one-sided affair featuring three Colts interceptions and just 218 yards of offense. I like this one to be closer but still a Jags cover.
