Chiefs vs Jets Prediction
I’ll stick with the Chiefs. Kansas City dropped a close one against a good Broncos team over the weekend despite a pretty good offensive day on 399 yards and 22 first downs. The Chiefs’ defense held Denver to a tepid 294 yards and just 2-of-11 on third-down tries in a game that could have gone either way. KC got into trouble with flags though, notching 11 penalties for 105 yards. The Chiefs have dropped consecutive games now, but the great news is that they’ve got a string of three very winnable games coming up.
As for the Jets, they lost the handle late against the Raiders on Sunday and took another loss despite a solid 439 yards and 26 first downs. The third-down conversions weren’t great though (4-of-11) and New York allowed a long kick return score. The good news for the Jets is that they’ve been competitive. Each installment of this three-game losing streak was decided by seven points or fewer. That said, going into Kansas City to face a focused and determined Chiefs team is a tall task.

New York Jets Betting Preview
The Jets are in the middle of another lost season it seems. New York kicked things off with a promising win over the Tennessee Titans, but then lost to the Packers, Lions and Bears in the next trio of outings. After a win over Cleveland, New York fell to the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins in the two games that followed. In the first seven games the Jets could only muster a 2-5 record.
In their matchup with Las Vegas last weekend the Jets were looking pretty good initially. New York posted two touchdowns and a field goal in the second quarter along the way to a 23-14 edge at the break. The Jets gave up three touchdowns after halftime though and eventually lost a tough one 35-33. QB Geno Smith put up a 20-of-32 line for 290 yards, two scores and a pick. Braelon Allen had 21 carries for 147 yards and a TD. Adonai Mitchell caught seven balls for 142 yards and a TD.
Kansas City Chiefs Betting Preview
Over on the Chiefs’ side, they kicked off the season on a very nice run. Kansas City beat Denver in the opener then followed up with wins over Indianapolis, Miami and Las Vegas ahead of an early bye week. The Chiefs came back to a win over the Los Angeles Chargers, then took their first defeat of the season thanks to Seattle 20-3. In their first six games the Cheifs had a 5-1 record on the books.
Matched up against Denver in the rematch last weekend the Chiefs were able to notch a TD and a field goal—but also gave up a TD and a field goal—in the second quarter for a 17-13 halftime tie.
